Bright and Colorful is the way to Go

This is one of favorite rag cloth dolls I created using as much color as I could. Dandy Day is a 26 inch cloth doll made from a 1968-69 Raggedy Ann patten I have in my collection of many pattens.
I wanted to do a little something different with the pattern and this is it!
The body of the doll is muslin that has been stained just a tiny bit with walnut stain and the legs and feet are different fabrics; those being black felt for the feet and a striped cotton fabric for the legs.

Her clothes are bright colors of cotton fabrics and she has black button eyes that have been sewn on by hand with a small amount of embroidery work done on the facial features.
The hair is a red yard with gold coloring mixed into it, just a nice contrast for color. I have sewn the hair into the head and she is filled with fiber fill.

She was lots of fun to make and create she is better suited for older children or those adults with a youthful heart.
I also wanted to mention in case; my computer was done for almost 2 weeks and there will continue to be a mystery has to what made the old dinosaur computer crash. I hope to get a new one the first part of Sept so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
