Another Set of Crochet small baskets

Well I finished these two small baskets a few weeks ago and will be adding them to my art fire store to purchase.
The black and brown toned one is a mini basket and the yarn was doubled and crochet with a 10/1/2 hook the handle is crochet using just the chain stitch and then tied off.

The Larger basket of tans, browns and greens with gold is also done with the same 10 1/2 hook and I did not double the yarn but it is a thick acrylic yarn and so is the smaller basket.

On both baskets I crochet a double and single stitch to get the look and no patterns were used I just like using a little creative thought to each one I make.
These baskets can be purchased by clicking on and going to

Smaller Fabric Bowl with Gold Beads

This is another one of my fabric bowls using no patterns but just the use of my sewing machine, and a bit of hand sewing.
I used some summer cotton fabric for this bowl so it is bright and cheerful and I used white cotton thread for the special design on it. A kind of zigzag stitch for the bow.
Once again I used a cotton rob and torn the fabric into strips. Then I wrapped the fabric around the cording and began sewing.

I then added the gold beads by hand along with the pink button, I enjoyed making this look quite original and the gold beads just give it that color addition it needed. I will be adding it to http://49stocker.artfire.com for you to purchase.

Lonely Tiny Prim Prairie 12 inch Rag Cloth doll

This prairie rag cloth is 12 inches long and is very lonely to say the least.
She has been created from muslin and filled with fiber fill; the dress and bonnet are cotton fabrics. This doll was aged using my favorite rub on walnut stain over t
he entire body and clothing using a dry cloth to get this look for the doll. I have tied a tiny bow onto one leg.
She has mismatched button eyes and a sewn on nose and her mouth has been stitched by using my sewing machine.
This not is not for young children because of the staining and button eyes, she is more for those who what to give a lonely prairie doll a home.

Wall hanging quilt for Fall a whacked out wall quilt

This is one of my favorite wall hanging quilts that I did up a while back, about the time my Aunt first began teaching me about whacking out a quilt.
The story is about that time of season; getting
that harvest out and the season ending.
I whacked out several cotton fabrics for this quilt and used lots of stitches, located on my sewing machine.

You can see the home off in the back round all the colors over lapping on this wall quilt, I used a beautiful blue to give the feeling a crisp cool day. All the fabrics in the scene are cotton fabrics accept for the denim that is the backing, it is a bit of cotton and rayon fabric for this quilt.
What else I like about this quilt is the old brown tree I created for this tale; I think one can see that it must have been a successful producing tree but now it has become aged with time and you have to wonder what will happen to this old tree.
I have placed this quilt in my Art Fire store at

I created this cute 14 inch cloth doll from a vintage pattern from one of my old MC Calls pattern book.

I filled the doll with fiber fill and used small black beads for the eyes and the shoes are felt. The hair is a yarn is a red and gold color and sewn to the head of the doll.
The final touches are a little blush to the cheeks and ribbon added to the dress, this doll would be sweet for kids at the age 7-11 or for us older kids you will be able to purchase this doll in my Art Fire store at

Little Carol, a Hand Made Rag Cloth Doll

This is Little Carol and she is a hand made rag cloth doll that stands about 14 inches.
I have created her from muslin that has been stained to look very aged, the stains were brown acrylic paint and walnut stain. Next I dried the fabric in the oven at 200 degrees.
The facial features were completed by hand using various cotton floss. The hair is a doll hair yarn and I have pulled it slightly apart for that worn look, and the hair has been sewn into the head with quilting thread.
The dress is cotton fabrics and the shoes are from an old wool coat that I had cut up.
The doll is named after one of my favorite Aunts who taught me about whacking out a quilt.
I will be adding the doll next week to my Art fire booth to be purchased there so be sure next week to take a look at my Art Fire booth.
